The Chargers and recovering their Season

The Chargers had a very rough start to their season this year and the reason is that they had some pivotal changes to their franchise. Not in the team lineup, but the coaching. Marty Schottenheimer lead the team to a great record as well as the playoffs. The Chargers were a real threat and potential competitor for the Superbowl. Why did they fire him and hire Norv Turner? The Chargers were a real threat and this was minimized by getting rid of a good coach that had them on the brink of a title. If the Chargers were a disaster than it would be understandable, but they were not.

The Lakers Key to Dethroning Celtics

This season we see unfolding the story of last season, sort of. This season Kobe Bryant is not asking to be traded and the injuries are not plaguing the Lakers, other than the recent knee injury of backup guard Jordan Farmar who provides a spark off of the bench. However, the thing that the Lakers need to do to beat the Boston Celtics machine is a consistent team effort on defense and out rebounding the Celtics. This will be their lifeline to surviving. If they do not play defense and crash the boards, their chances of exchanging baskets with the Celtics are minimal since Boston plays defense, rebounds, and will play offense as well. This is not a one sided game and it needs a full 48 minute effort to be successful.
