Bailing out corruption
I have heard so much over the bailout of these companies that is makes me want to live in a cave on another planet. The tax payers have had to bailout quite a few companies to only find out that the CEOs were giving themselves huge bonuses that could have covered a large part of their debt. On top of this these corrupt businessmen were making more in a year than some will ever make in a lifetime. If they really cared about the company, the economy of this country, and the taxpayers, why did they not take a pay cut to help their company and the employees there and level the playing field a bit for the time being just to stimulate the company and the economy? The greed and corruption that has been seeping from corporate America is sickening and enough to make anyone that cares about human rights and equality to be disgusted. Now GM and Chrysler are seeking billions more in loans and GM says that it might need more in the future. What is this a socialistic country that we live in? We should have never bailed out these corrupt companies in the first place. These are the ones that oppress and exploit the innocent for their own selfish and sordid gain, and we bailed them out. What were we thinking? Or were we thinking?
